2 spots available on our July 19th Potters Field trip!We have 2 spots available on our next trip to Potters Field- join us! Every two months, Picture the Homeless and Interfaith Friends of Potters Field hold a memorial service for those buried on Potters Field, the city cemetery for the indigent and unclaimed. These trips are the result of one of Picture the Homeless's oldest campaigns; to expand access to Potters Field so that people who could not provide documentation of a direct familial relationship could still pay respects to those buried there. The trips almost always have a waiting list, but we've had several cancellations this month and still have 2 spaces available on the July 19th trip. In order to attend, you must be at the Pelham Bay Station (last Bronx stop on the 6 train) at 8am- the trip is normally over by 1pm. If you are interested, email anika@picturethehomeless.org with your full name, as it appears on government-issued ID; your organizational affiliation, if any; and the best way to reach you. Want to learn more about our Potters Field Campaign? Read about it here, or watch our documentary, Journey Towards Dignity, here.
