Free Trainings for Homeless People
Submitted by admin on Mon, 05/11/2009 - 18:30.
Picture the Homeless is holding a series of free trainings (Tuesday's in the Bronx) for homeless people, aimed at helping folks in the shelters and on the streets learn important skills at the same time as they get involved in fighting to fix their situation!
May 19 Making Props, Posters, Signs and Banners A fun arts-and-crafts class aimed at developing eye-catching and entertaining visuals for use at press conferences, demonstrations, marches, and more!
Thanks to the internet, we can use video to share our stories with the world. This training will get you started on the basics of shooting, editing, and distributing film clips. ALL VIDEO AND EDITING EQUIPMENT IS PROVIDED—NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY
All trainings are FREE for homeless and formerly homeless people, and will be held on TUESDAY NIGHTS at 5PM, in the offices of PICTURE THE HOMELESS:
2427 Morris Avenue Bronx NY 10468 (4/D Train to Fordham Road)
