“Doc” says: I was born and raised in Jersey City, but I’ve been in New York since 1983. I’m a person that’s very passionate about the work that we do here. Being involved with Picture the Homeless opened up a whole new world for me – I always wanted to get involved, but didn’t know how. And I stick around because I want to help other homeless people the way I was helped. My proudest moments here are the protests, when we go to speak out against the corruption and injustice that’s going on. That’s how we show people that something’s wrong, and we’re not going to sit back and continue to let it happen.
