Request for Proposals: Graphic Design for Policy Report

PROJECT: Picture the Homeless is finalizing a policy report entitled “The Business of Homelessness,” exposing the huge amount of taxpayer dollars that the city wastes on the shelter system, and how that money could be better spent to create housing to stabilize families and communities. We’re looking for dynamic & compelling graphic design to match & enhance our powerful findings.

PROJECT GOALS: Design a full-color, graphics-heavy report, tentatively 24-36 letter-size pages, for our policy research. For examples of the design aesthetic of previous Picture the Homeless reports, check out our 2012 “Banking on Vacancy: Homelessness & Real Estate Speculation” or 2009’s “Time’s Up“. Work in partnership with graphic designer developing infographics, and Picture the Homeless research committee members, to ensure harmonic design interaction.

BUDGET: $1500-2000

SUBMITTING PROPOSALS: Please provide a proposal for report design, including contact info, examples of past work, and references from organizational point people on past projects that we can contact directly. All proposals should be emailed to [email protected]
