Welcome our New Executive Director, Monique “Mo” George!

Dear Friends and Members,

Picture the Homeless has a new Executive Director!!!

Monique “Mo” George will take Picture the Homeless to new levels of fabulousness, and we are so thrilled to have her join this team. We’ll be welcoming Mo – and celebrating outgoing director Lynn Lewis – with the first great dance party of 2017.

“Please come to my goodbye party and join me in welcoming Mo George as our new Executive Director!” Lynn said. “This is a huge moment in our Picture the Homeless history and also for me personally. I hope to see each of you there to share this evening in celebration of our first 17 years and to welcome Mo!”

“We’re sorry to be losing our founding executive director, but welcome Mo into our family,” said PTH board member William S. Burnett. “While Mo has some really big shoes to fill, we are certain she’s up to the task.  Mo brings with her a dynamic personality, extensive experience in mentoring and leadership and a strong commitment to justice. We look forward to continuing to grow together and to furthering our success as we work to end the injustice of homelessness in New York City.”

Will you come help us say THANK YOU to Lynn for her years of service, and welcome Mo?

Says Mo: “Becoming the Executive Director of an organization with such a rich history of grassroots organizing, that has spent over seventeen years improving the lives and conditions of homeless New Yorkers, is truly an honor. I am up for the task to not just continue this legacy but move it forward, I ask our allies and true partners to be up for it as well.”
